In December of 2010, Raleigh Wedding Photographer Christobal Perez was honored by winning first place in Brides Magazine’s International Photographic competition.
“The image was caught at it’s peak moment and shows the intensity of the groomsman along with the crowd’s enjoyment of it. I love this photo! I was able to anticipate the moment and was in the right place with the right light. Three strobes were used to make this image and converting it to B&W was the way to go. I am always thankful for the opportunities couples give me to document their amazing weddings every week,” said Christobal.
The annual Brides Magazine / WPJA Wedding Photojournalism Contest spotlights the finest images from the best wedding photojournalists in the world. The submitted images pass through a series of judges before a winner is officially announced by the magazine in December. The award-winning image was published in the December 2010 issue of Brides Magazine. Christobal also won sixth place in the “Bridal Party” category.
