It was a perfect day for Ellie & Adam’s wedding. I (Christobal) made the short drive from Raleigh to Fuquay Varina with the windows down, absorbing the sunshine on my way to Highgrove Estate. Being a photographer has its perks sometimes.
I pulled into the driveway, unpacked my gear and headed to see Ellie on second floor in the bride’s room. She was in the chair getting her hair ready, smiling and having a great time with her bridesmaids. The room was packed with ladies from both sides of the family helping Ellie with anything she needed. Adam later arrived with his groomsmen and headed to his quarters to prepare. The guys were focused as soon as they arrived at the venue. Adam was ready to see his bride walk down the aisle.
The ceremony was beautiful. Everyone will remember how emotional Adam was as he watched Ellie walk toward him down the aisle. A gentle touch by the best man, Adam’s father, helped dry the tears of joy. Vows were said and a double kiss was shared by a very happy couple. After the ceremony, we headed out to shoot some portraits of the bridal party at Lake Laurel, which is at the back of the estate. It was the perfect spot for photos, while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour.
Jason, with Island Sound, announced Adam & Ellie in the grand ballroom for their first dance. Everyone was smiling as the couple walked onto the dance floor to share a wonderful moment together as husband and wife. Toasts were next, followed by a delicious family-style dinner. Dessert was a gorgeous cake by Sweet Memories.
