We have been waiting for Jenn & Jeff’s wedding for a long time. Kathleen and I were the wedding photographers at Jeff’s sister’s wedding in Durham and always kept in touch with the family. As soon as we heard her brother was getting married, we reserved the date and couldn’t wait to get out of Raleigh to the Outer Banks.
We had bright skies at the beach and everyone was ready for a wedding. The guys were getting ready at a beach house, while the ladies were at the historic Sanderling Hotel. Wooden signs marked the way to where the ceremony was to take place at the historic Corolla Chapel.
It was standing room only inside where friends and family waited for Jenn to walk down the aisle. The flower girl was precious and the ring bearer was anxious to walk down the aisle and perform. The ceremony was wonderful as the couple exchanged their vows and sealed it with a kiss. Huge smiles were all around as the couple walked out of the chapel together as Jenn raised her bouquet in victory.
We headed over to the Whalehead Club to get the reception started. Guests were enjoying cocktail hour with signature drinks, passed horderves and a dingy filled with beer. The couple later was introduced and got the party started with their first dance as husband and wife. The band kept the dance floor packed and the buffet dinner was delicious. The couple cut the cake and then proceeded with the bouquet and garter toss for the single ladies and gents. The night ended with sparklers as the couple exited the reception.
