Clark Family | Wake Forest Portrait Session

When I (Christobal) first spoke with Natalie about doing a family session, she mentioned she wanted something different. We ventured just outside Raleigh to find a nice little abandoned commercial building in Wake Forest for our portrait session. I must say, that any wedding or portrait photographer would love this place. It was a great location to create something fun and unique.

Natalie saw the Barker family session on our site and wanted something similar, but not at the same location. The funny thing is that Natalie and I were talking and picked out the same location (great minds think alike).

So our shoot began with exploration. The girls were very curious, as was I. We looked around to find graffiti, broken doors, tall weeds and an easy breeze inside an amazing location. So, we started with some indoor family shots and then gravitated to the outside areas.

Piper was running around through tall weeds as her father gave chase. While Elle was watching and giggling next to her mother. It was interesting to see pine trees sprouting from cracked concrete which at one time was a loading dock. That made the perfect location for a quick shot of Elle. She later found some flowers and smiled perfectly as wind wiped her hair around her face.

Amongst the craziness of chasing baby Piper around, we found time to create some quick portraits of Che & Natalie. I was holding Piper and creating images as Elle said to me “they love each other.”  They sure do Elle.

Thank you for allowing Azul to be your family photographer!
