Our first introduction to Abbie was as the Event Planner & Catering Manager at the Marriott Research Triangle Park. So when she contracted Azul to do her wedding, I (Kathleen) was honored to be her photographer. She and Mike are two of the nicest people and are very much in love. They had an intimate wedding ceremony and reception in the courtyard at Sitti, in Raleigh, NC. I love photographing weddings like this, because you really feel like part of the celebration by the end of the day!
Guests were handed an ice cold sangria as they arrived and ventured in to find seats for the ceremony. Abbie arrived on site and within five minutes the ceremony began. The courtyard at Sitti is such a cool place for a wedding. The brick enclosure made it a hip urban backdrop for the couple.
After walking down the isle with her Dad, Abbie joined a smiling Mike and soon the two were married. After the ceremony, we ventured into a nearby parking garage for some portraits. A parking garage is not the typical location for portraits, but this particular garage was the site of their first kiss. How perfect!
We returned to the delicious food Sitti is known for. Then after toasts and cake cutting, the newlyweds danced the night away. It was a very special day and I was thrilled to be a part of it. Congratulations Abbie and Mike!
